John is an accomplished senior manager in the Electricity, Gas and Water industries with 30 years’ experience managing in utilities both in the UK, Ireland and the Middle East with expert-level proficiency in Transmission System Operation, Transmission Planning, Electricity License Codes, Price Control, Electricity Markets and Regulation. John spent over 25 years as a manager in National Grid responsible for the operations planning and load forecasting in the short term (day/week ahead) and medium term (year ahead). And as Power System Manager he managed the real time secure and stable operation (frequency, voltage and security) of the GB 400kV and 275kV transmission system and external interconnectors.
